I think it depends on what type of braiding hair you use for the kinky twist. I found some hair that is so soft and light it does not pull on my hair at all. It actually don't even feel like I have anything on my head no stress or anything and I did all individual small boxes. If I would have did it would normal Marley hair or regular kink lawn hair that's very heavy it would have possibly pulled my hair out but the hair I found works perfectly.

This. Fine natural hair tangles so easily. you have to keep it detangled at all costs, especially during shampooing.

I have definitely had some negative experiences at salons and with braiders. From scalp burns due to relaxers, to traction alopecia due to tight braids 😩. I’m so glad that those days are over now that I have been natural for years and doing my own hair! I still have experienced some setbacks on my natural hair journey (you already know that I had to big chop due to hair loss from health issues). I could go on all day about my ups and downs but my natural hair is making a comeback 🙌🏽. Keep up the fabulous work Lavinia 💜
